Our Mission Statement
The Center for Spiritual Growth and the Contemplative Life is a community seeking God in
the world. We are committed to listening to and responding to the spiritual hungers of our
times by nurturing spiritual renewal and growth, and by cultivating a contemplative stance
toward life. Through our individual and communal experiences of God, we seek to develop
a deepening awareness and oneness with God, with one another, and with all creation.
Our Praxis: How we Carry Out Our Mission
Honoring and including diverse faiths, traditions, and beliefs;
Through individual and communal storytelling;
Respecting stories as sacred;
Fostering renewal and growth through study, reflection, conversation and retreat;
Providing time and space for prayer;
Being present to God within our human condition;
Serving the world through prayer, discernment, acts of reconciliation and advocacy.
